Sodium Hydroxide- is a highly alkaline chemical compound essential for making traditional bar soap. It serves as the vital catalyst that transforms raw oils and fats into skin-cleansing soap through a chemical process called saponification. In a properly cured, Fully saponified bar of soap, zero sodium hydroxide remains in the final product.
Stearic Acid & Lauric Acid- a natural, long-chain saturated fatty acid. When saponified, It becomes sodium stearate, the primary compound responsible for creating a hard, long-lasting bar of soap with a stable, velvety lather. preventing soap from sweating, separating over time which resists melting or getting mushy.
Propylene Glycol - is a clear, odorless synthetic liquid that acts as a humectant, solvent, and skin conditioner. It draws moisture into the skin and helps soaps maintain a uniform texture. It stabilizes the mixture and provides a smoother, creamier glide.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a synthetic, coconut oil-derived surfactant. Creates a rich foam, thickens the formula, and help water mix with dirt and oil so they can be easily rinsed away without stripping the skin's natural moisture.
Glycerin- a natural humectant that attracts and locks moisture into the skin. A powerful humectant, it absorbs water from the air and pulls it into the top layer of your skin.
Sorbitol- a sugar alcohol and plant-based humectant derived from carbohydrates like corn syrup. It acts as a conditioning agent that draws moisture to the skin, thickens transparent formulas, boosts lather, and reduces the sticky residue often associated with glycerin.
EDTA- is a synthetic chelating agent that binds to heavy metals and minerals found in hard water. It prevents these minerals from reacting with soap to form soap scum, preserves the bar's color and fragrance, and prevents it from spoiling or turning rancid.
Titanium Dioxide- is a natural mineral refined into a brilliant, opaque white powder used as a pigment and opacifier in soap making. It adds a bright white color to soap bases, prevents translucent soap from looking dull, and creates a crisp canvas for other swirls and colors.
Myristic Acid- is a saturated fatty acid that acts as an excellent surfactant and lather builder. It is a naturally occurring component in plant fats like coconut oil, and it contributes hard, cleansing properties while producing a dense, fluffy foam
